Position Summary

Position Summary
  

Maintains, repairs, and installs power on H.V.A.C. and Refrigeration equipment in campus housing and university buildings by performing the following duties.

Maintains, inspects and installs all heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment, fans, vacuum pumps, air compressors, vents, ducts, and pneumatic and DDC control systems on the university campus Rotates weekend shifts to take call for emergency service calls including repairs beyond normal work hours as required. May be called in at any time to assist with emergency repairs as needed. When on normal call rotation the response time to an emergency should not exceed more than thirty minutes.


Qualifications Summary

Associate Degree from college technical school, or one to two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Working knowledge of computer programs essential to energy-management / boiler room operations.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. 

 


Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.

Position Summary
  

This position serves the Department of Practical Theology and Discipleship. The administrative assistant manages the workflow of the Department, which includes creating and maintaining official departmental records, scheduling and sending appointment reminders, and providing information to callers and visitors. In addition, the Admin’s work goes beyond the needs of the Department and includes responsibilities of various types related to the operations of the Seminary, as directed and assigned by the Dean's office.


Qualifications Summary

Bachelors degree preferred, Associates degree required, and experience in busy office setting.  Proven organization and people skills. Strong communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines. High level of organizational skills and attention to detail required.

Position Summary
  

Serve as the Certification Officer for the School of Education and International Studies (SEIS). This position includes advising undergraduate and graduate students on certification, licensure, endorsement, and program completion requirements, maintaining official records, and monitoring candidate progress. The role coordinates admissions to teacher education and SEIS graduate programs, supports formal recommendations for licensure and certification through the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists, the State of Michigan, and other jurisdictions, and manages communication and advising for partnership programs with Seventh-day Adventist unions and conferences.

As part of the management team, the Technical Director shares responsibility in all areas of station activity, with particular responsibility for technical operations.  The T.D. is directly responsible for the physical plant, engineering needs of the station, broadcast operations, and studio services, and reports to the General Manager.

  • Previous experience with Radio Operations required
  • Thorogh knowledge of Radio Automation, Audio Over IP, Digital Asset Management. Traffic Systems
  • Excellent Computer skills are a must with ability to address problems remortely (from home) as needed
  • Classical Music On-Air Announcing/Host
  • Detail oriented
  • Project management experience a plus
  • 5 years Radio experience, Classical / Public radio a plus
